Angeline Quinto joins ‘Himig Handog’

Angeline Quinto

Angeline Quinto realized that she was born to join singing contests as she participates for the third time in this year’s ”Himig Handog P-Pop Love Song” writing competition.

The 26-year old singer, winner of “Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar in 2011,” shared that she felt embarrassed to the composers whenever she lost a competition. She however noted that most of them interpreting the song for the competition doesn’t mind the prize they might win, it’s enough for them to have the composer’s trust to them.

For this year, Angeline is interpreting the song “Parang Tayo Pero Hindi” with Michael Pangilinan, composed by Marlon Barnuevo.

Himig Handog is a multimedia songwriting and music video competition operated by the ABS-CBN Corporation and Star Records, the music subsidiary of ABS-CBN. The theme of the contest has been love songs since 2002. The finals night will be held on April 24 at the Kia Theatre, to be hosted by VJ Robi Domingo along with Enrique Gil, Liza Soberano, and Kathryn Bernardo.
