Billy Crawford hopes to conquer Europe anew

Billy Crawford has set a time frame of four months in trying to revive his European music career after an absence of several years.

The singer-TV host plans to leave the country early next year as his initial step in getting recognized again in the talent-rich continent.

In 2001 Crawford successfully infiltrated the highly competitive European music scene with the release of his platinum single, “Trackin’,” which became a big hit in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and in Germany. This was followed by his second single, “When You Think About Me,” which was also a huge success.

The 29-year old Crawford returned to the Philippines in 2007 as his popularity waned after his second album, “Big City.”

He was contracted by GMA-7 for the dance reality show, “M.O.V.E.” Shortly thereafter he transferred to ABS-CBN in 2008, where he appeared on several shows including “ASAP,” “Pinoy Dream Academy,” and “Pilipinas Got Talent.”

Currently he is co-hostin the popular noontime talent reality program, “Showtime.”
