Coco stars with Vice Ganda in MMFF comedy film

“Ang Probinsyano” star Coco Martin and box-office star Vice Ganda are ready to conquer box office with Star Cinema’s “Beauty and the Bestie.”

For Coco, it was his first time to work with his best friend Vice Ganda in a film, although they’ve a short stint together in the ABS-CBN fantasy series “Juan dela Cruz.” Coco did the action parts of the film while Vice has to take most of the comedy scenes. In the movie, they play estranged best friends whose life crossed again when Eric/Ericka (Vice Ganda) asks for Emman’s (Coco Martin) help in connection with his mission as a spy agent.

The tandem of Vice and Coco is one of the much awaited project and Star Cinema is expecting a huge impact in ticket sales considering their previous box office records and successful television projects.

Also in the movie is the primetime loveteam of James Reid and Nadine Lustre, with Marco Masa and Alfonso Muhlach.

“Beauty and the Bestie,” an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this Christmas day, is directed by blockbuster filmmaker Wenn Deramas.
