Dingdong Dantes renews contract with ‘Kapuso’

Actor Dingdong Dantes proved he is still one of the prized talents of GMA as he renewed his contract with the network for five more years.

The renewal of his contract with GMA, his home studio for 15 years now, has ended speculations of his transfer to a rival network which has been a hot topic after his previous contract expired last August.

The 33-year-old actor Dingdong will be a hands-on talent to the network, meaning he has a say on all of his projects in the next five years. The GMA management has also planned a yearly TV special for him.

Dingdong thanked the network for the opportunities given to him. He also said that the important thing is the commitment that he and GMA-7 will collaborate in pursuing his dreams as an actor and what is best for the network.

The network also dubbed Dingdong as the Kapuso Primetime King. GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon regards Dingdong as living proof that GMA can hone talents fit to be “King.”

For Dingdong, being the network’s King is more than a gift, saying he is overwhelmed and is now more committed to do his duty for the network.

Currently the actor is wrapping up works on a movie with Bea Alonzo
