Famous celebrities grace Pacquiao-Mosley fight

The much-publicized fight of Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley has drawn a star-studded audience at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (Manila time).

Socialite Paris Hilton, Mike Tyson, Laila Ali and  poker pro Phil Ivey were among the thousands who trooped to the arena to witness Pacquiao’s successful second defense of his World Boxing Organization title he won by beating Miguel Cotto in the same arena in November 2009…

Rapper Rick Ross walked Pacquiao to the ring. On the music side of the fight, “Eye of the Tiger” was Pacquiao’s music for his walk while Mosley’s was “Mama Said Knock You Out”.

“Eye of the Tiger”, theme from the movie “Rocky”, was performed live by the band Survivor and “Mama Said Knock You Out” by LL Cool J.

Charice’s counterpart, who sang the USA anthem, “Star Spangled Banner”, is Tyrese. He is a recording artist and was also selected personally by Shane Mosley.

The Pacquiao-Mosley fight is boxing’s biggest and most prestigious fight of the year.

Previous Pacquiao fights has drawn Hollywood and sports superstars and notable personalities, among them Beyonce, and her husband Jay-Z, Diddy, Russel Brand, Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, Jeremy Piven, David Arquette, Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell and Jack Nicholson.

Local personalities also flew to the United States to watch the Filipino boxing icon. Among those spotted were Lani Mercado, Vicki Belo, Hayden Kho, Lito Atienza,  Ramon “Bong” Revilla , Atom Henares, Quark Henares and Ali Atienza.
