‘Impostor’ is nominated at 2011 Int’l Emmy Awards

The TV series “Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Impostor,” has been nominated in the Telenovela category of the 2011 International Emmy Awards.

As the only Filipino series vying for the prestigious international award, the show’s lead stars Melai Cantiveros and Sam Milby both expressed jubilation for the recognition given to the show.

Cantiveros said she and her real-life sweetheart and co-star on the show Jason Francisco were both excited over the nomination and expressed their wish that the show will win the award.

For his part, Sam Milby said “Impostor,” which aired from May to September of last year,has a good chance to bag an award. The actor cited the show’s good story as well as the excellent acting by lead star Maja Salvador.The story revolves around a young woman from the province who believes that she was given an unattractive face that no man would want.

“Impostor” is pitted against shows from Brazil (“Destiny River”), Argentina (“Contra las Cuerdas”), and Portugal (“Lacos de Sangue” aka “Blood Ties”).

The awarding ceremony will be held from Nov. 18 to 21 in New York.
