Multi awarded actress Judy Ann Santos makes a showbiz comeback via an upcoming ABS-CBN’s primetime television drama.
In “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,” which replaces “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” Juday essays the role of Annisa Panaligan, a battered wife who goes against all odds fighting adversity in life and marriage.
The Queen of Philippine Soaps admitted being nervous, overwhelmed and pressured as she described the feeling of doing a drama series after three years of hosting reality shows and occasional acting stints.
The teleserye is considered somewhat timely due to the recent controversial announcement of comedienne Ai-Ai de las Alas’ that she was planning to divorce her husband of one month Jed Salang, following an incident of physical abuse.
Of late Juday herself has been the subject of malicious rumors that she and her husband Ryan Agoncillo have filed for annulment, allegedly because of the latter’s infidelity.
Though she admitted that her relationship with Ryan, whom she married on April 28, 2009, was not exactly a bed of roses she said their marital problems aren’t big enough for them to separate.
“Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,” will be seen on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel (TFC) on June 17, 2013.
