Nora Aunor dispels unprofessionalism issues

The Superstar dismissed past unprofessionalism issues that may resurface on her return to showbiz during her recent press conference on the day of her arrival,

 The multi-awarded actress said she has made a promise to longtime friend TV host German “Kuya Germs” Moreno that a new Nora Aunor will be seen in local showbiz.

She also said she wouldn’t disappoint those people who have shown their confidence to her despite her long absence in the local showbiz industry.

For his part, Moreno aired his appeal to her detractors who still find ways to criticize the superstar for past mistakes. He said people should instead celebrate Nora Aunor’s homecoming and give her a chance to work without passing judgment on her past errors.

Aunor has been signed by TV5 to do a movie “El Presidente,” based on the life of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo. Laguna Governor ER Ejercito, a self-confessed fan offered her a key role in the film, that of Emilio Aguinaldo’s second wife Maria Agoncillo.

According to Ejercito, Aunor’s filming will cover a week starting on August 8. Her first shooting day will start with a wedding scene in a church in Kawit, Cavite.

The movie is directed by Tikoy Aguiluz and is intended for the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival.
