Ogie Diaz says sorry to Charice

The threat of Charice Pempengco’s fans to boycott all projects of Ogie Diaz because of his disparaging tweets about their idol has prompted the showbiz scribe-talk show host to issue a public apology.

Diaz, who has over 90, 000 followers on Twitter, said he already deleted all his posts relating to the singer. He relayed his apology to the fans through abscbnnews.com.

Diaz suggested that the fans should look as well at other colleagues whom he said might also be culpable of the committing similar offense, even as he went on to request Pempengco’s fans to spare his mother, whom he alleged said they also target.

Given the chance, Diaz also said he will personally ask Pempengco’s forgiveness as he conceded that public apology is not enough.

Diaz was among a number of local scribes who criticized Pempengco’s “foreign artist attitude” during the latter’s “1@11” concert at SM Mall of Asia.

The international singing sensation has not yet issued a statement on the matter.
