Rocco Nacino hopes to improve his craft this 2013

Given the choice, young actor Rocco Nacino said he will prioritize his career over his love life.

The 26-year old actor who rose to fame and gained media attention for joining the fifth season and winning the Second Prince of GMA Network’s reality show StarStruck, wisely said showbiz fame may not last forever thus he wants to enjoy and make the most out of the opportunities that come his way.

This registered nurse was given the acting break he deserves when he became a part of Sine Novela Presents: Gumapang Ka sa Lusak. This was followed by another teleserye Dramarama sa Hapon block, Koreana. More challenging projects and better exposure came when he became a part of the weekly fantasy sitcom, Kaya ng Powers. He also top-billed a 5-episode weekly series, Love Bug presents: Mistaken Identity.

In 2011 Rocco joined the indie film genre in Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa, which earned him his first prestigious acting awards as the “New Movie Actor of the Year” in the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Movies and by the Entertainment Press Society (Enpres) as “Best Breakthrough Performance by an Actor” in the 9th Golden Screen Awards. Another indie film he did was I Love You Pare Ko opposite Rodjun Cruz.

Currently he is doing two indie films, Burgos and Ibong Adarna.

In Burgos, Rocco plays the role of missing political activist Jonas Burgos while veteran actress plays Editha, the mother.

In Ibong Adarna he essays the role of the youngest among three prince brothers who will catch the enchanted bird.

His performance as an idealistic young mayor in GMA News TV series Bayan Ko also earned praises for the young actor.
