Teen stars tackle mature roles in new GMA series

The youngest love team of the Kapuso Network, Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali are all set to tackle mature roles in GMA Network’s newest Afternoon Prime series, “Wish I May.”

Miguel and Bianca portray the characters of Tristan, the childhood best friend of Carina, who works hard to gain the attention and affection of her parents, respectively. Carina and Tristan fell in love with each other amid turbulent situations brought about by her mother’s disease called “chimerism”, a medical condition wherein an individual has two sets of DNA.

The cast also includes Camille Prats as Olivia, the mother of Carina; Mark Anthony Fernandez as Clark, the husband of Audrey who is Olivia’s true love; Mark Herras as Andrew, the foster father of Carina; Alessandra de Rossi as Loretta, the wife of Andrew; Glydel Mercado as Barbara, the mother of Olivia; and Rochelle Pangilinan as Audrey, the ex-girlfriend of Clark.

The modern “Romeo and Juliet” story which is directed by Neal del Rosario is set to premiere on January 18, 2016 replacing “Half Sisters.”
