Tweet Hearts bested other celebrity teams in ‘Sunday All Stars’ launch

 

The new Kapuso musical-variety Sunday noontime show Sunday All Stars”” (SAS ) took off with a big start last Sunday, June 16, with a showdown of production numbers from four celebrity teams headed by Mark Bautista, Jolina Magdangal, Christian Bautista and Jennylyn Mercado.

Mark’s team composed of Barbie Forteza, Rachelle Ann Go, Derrick Monasterio, Mark Herras, Rochelle Pangilinan, Frencheska Farr, Rita de Guzman, Denise Barbacena, Kylie Padilla and the Mxmvmnt dancers, did contemporary songs

The team headed by Jolina interpreted Mr. Suave in various singing styles.   She was joined by Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, Sam Pinto, Alden Richards, Louise delos Reyes, Enzo Pineda, Jonalyn Viray, Kris Lawrence, Diva Montelaba and the Addlib dance crew.

An all-OPM production number was performed by Christian’s team composed of Glaiza de Castro, Solenn Heussaff, Bea Binene, Jay R, Aicelle Santos, Kristoffer Martin, Winwyn Marquez and Julian Trono together with the MNVRS dancers.

In the end, the Tweet Hearts group of Jennylyn, made up of Andrea Torres, Max Collins, Rocco Nacino, Maricris Garcia, Sef Cadayona, Yassi Pressman, Julie Anne San Jose and Ruru Madrid, together with the Sexbomb dancers was adjudged as “Sunday All Stars’” first winner.

The team wowed viewers and judges with a unique song-and-dance sequence with surprise guest performers Andre Paras and Sonny Parsons.

“Sunday All Stars” is hosted by Heart Evangelista, Carla Abellana, Lovi Poe and Janine Gutierrez. Serving as judges who determine who among the four groups delivers the best performance each week are the “Big Four” Ogie and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, and Jaya.

The musical and game variety show replaced its predecessor show, “Party Pilipinas,” which was put off-air by the network management due to issues involving its production teams.
