“Maybe This Time,” set to be the biggest romantic film this season, marks the maiden and highly-anticipated team-up between Coco Martin and Sarah Geronimo.
The movie hits theaters nationwide on May 28 and will be competing against Hollywood blockbusters, including Disney’s “Maleficent,” starring Angelina Jolie, “Godzilla,” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
In an interview, Sarah Geronimo is hoping that her first big screen team-up with Coco Martin will also do well in the box office. She added that she and Martin did their best in giving life to their characters. For his part, Coco praised for Geronimo, noting that the actress has matured as an actress.
The movie centered on Steph Asuncion (Sarah Geronimo) and Tonio Bugayong (Coco Martin), who fell in love with each other despite their many individual differences. The story tells how two people will be reminded about the importance of being truthful for true love to triumph.
“Maybe This Time” is a co-production of Star Cinema and Viva Films. It also stars Dennis Padilla, Buboy Garovillo, Sharmaine Buencamino, Tony Mabesa, Ogie Diaz, Marlann Flores, Zeppi Borromeo, Alex Castro, Minnie Aguilar, Kathleen Hermosa, Garlic Garcia, Cecil Paz and Devon Seron.
The movie is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng.
